At Maximum Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning, we’re a small, family-owned company dedicated to delivering top-tier customer service and exceptional workmanship. We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Install Technician (entry level) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some HVAC or construction experience who wants to expand their skills while working alongside experienced installers on residential HVAC projects.

Position: HVAC Install Technician (entry level)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour with the opportunity for a performance-based wage increase after successful completion of probation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers with residential HVAC system installations, replacements, and upgrades
  • Help install air conditioning systems, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, and related equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
  • Read and assist in interpreting installation drawings, equipment specifications, and basic blueprints
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment between the shop and job sites
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and startup procedures under the supervision of a lead installer
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and industry standards
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of HVAC, construction, mechanical, or related trade experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC installation techniques
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset

HVAC Lead Installer

Company: Maximum Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning

We are seeking a meticulous, experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, accuracy, and delivering high-quality installations from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations from layout to commissioning
  • Install split systems, package units, ductwork, ventilation, and accessories per code and manufacturer specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and job specifications
  • Ensure proper airflow, refrigerant charging, and system performance testing
  • Supervise and mentor install helpers; maintain jobsite organization and cleanliness
  • Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and inspectors
  • Complete required documentation, photos, and job close-out paperwork accurately
  • Follow all safety protocols and company standards at all times

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience (lead experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record of high attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC codes, best practices, and manufacturer requirements
  • Ability to fabricate, modify, and seal ductwork properly
  • Experience with start-ups, testing, and troubleshooting newly installed systems
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background and driving record checks

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Experience with heat pumps, gas furnaces, mini-splits, and zoning systems
  • Leadership experience running crews and training apprentices
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Top-tier customer service skills with a professional, respectful demeanor
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and accountability on every job

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
  • Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work with tools for extended periods

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time position
  • Competitive pay: $32–$45 per hour DOE (Dependent on Experience)

Compensation Transparency Notice (California):
The pay range for this position is $32–$45 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and alignment with the role. Benefits are provided in addition to base compensation.
